Miss Dorset Brings Her Style to Tempo

Students enjoyed two popular guest classes as Cat shared her commercial choreography and heels style at the end of September.

Tempo Dance Company welcomed Cat Spencer, current Miss Dorset, for a special guest-teaching visit. A talented dancer from Bournemouth, Cat brought her energy, experience and distinctive style to two classes: Commercial Intermediate and Tempo Heels.

Both classes were popular with students, who enjoyed learning Cat’s choreography and experiencing her approach to movement. The sessions offered dancers a chance to try something new, challenge themselves and learn from a guest teacher with a fresh perspective. Cat’s style made the classes engaging, while her teaching helped students get involved and enjoy the experience.

The visit was a great opportunity for Tempo students to explore two different sides of dance. In Commercial Intermediate, dancers worked on commercial choreography and performance. Tempo Heels gave students the chance to develop their confidence, musicality and movement in heels. Each class had its own character, and students responded enthusiastically to both.

Tempo Dance Company is grateful to Cat for sharing her time, choreography and style with our dancers. The strong turnout and positive response made the guest sessions a memorable addition to the class schedule. Guest teachers bring new ideas into the studio and give dancers the chance to experience different approaches, helping keep classes inspiring and varied.

With both Commercial Intermediate and Tempo Heels proving popular, Cat’s visit was a real highlight at the end of September. Tempo hopes students left feeling energised by the choreography, proud of what they learned and inspired by Cat’s work as she prepares for Miss Great Britain.
